Descripción:4-Hydroxy thalidomide is a drug that has a variety of clinical use. It is used in the treatment of leprosy, multiple myeloma and other cancers. 4-Hydroxy thalidomide also shows anti-inflammatory properties and has been shown to inhibit protein synthesis in human liver cells and rat liver microsomes. The drug is an antagonist of hydroxyl group or hydroxy group, which may be due to its ability to inhibit ubiquitin ligases. 4-Hydroxy thalidomide can be metabolized by humans into metabolites that bind to the all-trans retinoic acid receptor, which may lead to fetal bovine syndrome.
