L-Homopropargylglycine is used to study the molecular mechanisms of lipid metabolism and mitochondrial function, as well as for wastewater treatment. L-Homopropargylglycine has also been studied as a potential drug for the treatment of metabolic syndrome, diabetes, and cancer.
