Descripción:Trans-4-Hydroxystilbene is a reactive molecule that inhibits the growth of cells by binding to their DNA. It is found in organic solutions, such as grape skins, and resveratrol. Trans-4-Hydroxystilbene has been shown to be neuroprotective in a rat model of liver injury and to be effective against cancer cells in transfection experiments. Trans-4-Hydroxystilbene has also been found to inhibit microbial infections by binding to bacterial or fungal dna gyrase or topoisomerase IV enzymes.
