Descripción

2'-Hydroxy-4,4',6'-trimethoxychalcone is a flavokawain derivative that inhibits the protein p-glycoprotein (P-gp). This compound has been shown to inhibit tumor growth and induce apoptosis in vitro. It also displays antiinflammatory activity by inhibiting the activation of NF-κB pathway. 2'-Hydroxy-4,4',6'-trimethoxychalcone also exhibits minimal toxicity in animal models and has been found to be effective against melanoma cells.
