Descripción:5-Iodoindole is an organic compound that is used as a nematicide. It has been shown to have cytostatic effects on the growth of human pathogens, juveniles, and model systems. 5-Iodoindole inhibits the production of reactive amines and pyridine in vivo. It also inhibits glutamine metabolism by competitive inhibition at the glutamate dehydrogenase enzyme. 5-Iodoindole also has hemolytic activity and is able to induce transcriptomic changes in P. aeruginosa cells.
