Descripción:
3-Iodo-7-aza-1H-azaoindazol is a trifluoromethyl substituted pyridine that has been shown to inhibit the proliferation of cancer cell lines. It activates apoptosis by inhibiting the function of protein kinase C, which leads to increased levels of intracellular calcium ions and activation of caspases. 3-Iodo-7-aza-1H-azaoindazol also inhibits cell growth in eca109 cells, which may be partly due to its ability to increase the expression of Bax, a proapoptotic protein. 3-Iodo-7-aza-1H-azaoindazol also inhibits tumorigenesis in vivo as shown by a decrease in tumor size and number with prolonged treatment.
