Descripción:H-Ile-Val-OH is an inhibitor of the enzyme catalysis in cancer cells. The mechanism of inhibition is likely to be competitive with respect to the substrate and reversible by addition of exogenous substrate. The IC50 values for H-Ile-Val-OH were determined in uptake assays and found to be around 100 μM. The IC50 values for H-Ile-Val-OH were also determined in x-ray diffraction data and found to be around 10 μM. H-Ile-Val-OH has been shown to inhibit squamous carcinoma cell growth, which may be due to its ability to inhibit protein synthesis.
