3-Isopropoxy-4-methoxybenzaldehyde is a nitro compound that has been used in the synthesis of a number of drugs, such as chemotherapeutic agents and cytotoxic agents. 3-Isopropoxy-4-methoxybenzaldehyde has the ability to form conjugates with other molecules, including isomers. The compound can exist as either the "cis" or "trans" isomer. 3-Isopropoxy-4-methoxybenzaldehyde can also form tautomers, which are compounds that are interconvertible by means of an intramolecular chemical reaction. It has been shown to be synthesized from lamellarin and cyclic sequences. This compound is a synthetic compound that has been found to have anticancer properties in cancer cell assays and in animal models.
