2-Isopropylmalonic acid is a sodium salt that can be synthesized from malonic acid and an amide. It is commonly used in the production of particle, p-hydroxybenzoic acid, and ester linkages. 2-Isopropylmalonic acid has been shown to have clinical relevance in biological studies involving electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. This compound is also involved in hydroxyl group interactions with the steric interactions and intramolecular hydrogen.
