Isopropyl 4-methylbenzenesulfonate is a chemical that is used in the preparation of pharmaceuticals. It is used as an intermediate in the production of sorafenib, an anticancer drug, and has been shown to be genotoxic. The compound has been found to be a competitive inhibitor of growth factor receptors and can inhibit uv absorption in skin cells.
