Descripción

Indolin-5-ol is a phenolic compound that can be extracted from the bark of the cinnamon tree. It has been shown to have serotonergic and anti-oxidant properties, which may help with symptoms of ADHD. Indolin-5-ol also has a chemical structure similar to that of dopamine. It has been shown to be an effective anti-depressant in mice, and is currently being used in phytochemical studies for its possible effects on hyperactivity. Indolin-5-ol is not well studied, but there are indications that it may be responsible for some of the side effects of certain medications when they are deuterated.
