- Phenol, 4-iodo-, acetate
4-IODOPHENYLACETATE is an organic molecule that has been synthesized by cross-coupling reactions. The reaction mechanism is the transfer of an iodine atom from a halide to a terminal alkyne. 4-IODOPHENYLACETATE exists as particles and molecules in solution, with the latter being more stable than the former. This compound can be used to study plasma proteins and other techniques. 4-IODOPHENYLACETATE has also been shown to inhibit cholesterol synthesis in human plasma proteins.
