Indacaterol is a pharmacological agent that is used to treat asthma. This drug works by relaxing the smooth muscles in the airways, which leads to bronchodilation and improved airflow. Indacaterol is known as an agonist of beta-adrenergic receptors, which are found on the surface of airway smooth muscle cells.
