2-Indolone is a synthetic compound that belongs to the class of heterocyclic compounds. It is a trifluoroacetic acid derivative that has been shown to have potent antitumor activity, and it also inhibits cell proliferation. 2-Indolone has been shown to be an effective treatment for inflammatory diseases such as rheumatoid arthritis and Crohn's disease.
