Iohexol is a contrast agent used in medical imaging such as angiography, CT scans, and MRI. It has been shown to have the potential to damage the heart, liver, and kidneys. It is also mutagenic and carcinogenic in animals. Iohexol is not approved for use in pregnant women or children under the age of 18 due to its toxicity.
