a4,3-O-Isopropylidene pyridoxine is an organic solvent that can be used for the preparation of pharmaceutical agents. It can be used to dissolve other chemicals and solvents, such as a hydroxide solution. a4,3-O-Isopropylidene pyridoxine is used to form complexes with palladium and sodium hydroxide, which are then mixed with fatty acids to create developable films. This process can be useful in optical imaging and in the detection of cholesterol. The solvent has not been shown to have any adverse health effects, but should not be ingested.
