4-Isopropylcyclohexanone is a functional group that has a skeleton of four carbons and six hydrogens. It is an aromatic hydrocarbon and can be found in some food chemistry, such as the activation energy of hydrocarbon solvents. 4-Isopropylcyclohexanone has been used to study environmental pollution and has been found to be activated by supercritical water, as well as hydrochloric acid. This functional group is also used in the Friedel-Crafts reaction.
