Descripción

Iopromide is a drug that is used for the treatment of angiography, which involves the injection of contrast media into the bloodstream to visualize blood vessels on X-rays. Iopromide is an iodinated compound that has been shown to have no significant effect on systolic pressure in patients with normal blood pressure and can be used in combination with other drugs such as intravenous paclitaxel. The drug has been found to be safe for use in combination with other drugs and there are no major side effects associated with its use. Iopromide binds to eosinophilic cationic protein (ECP) and inhibits the enzyme activities associated with inflammation, which may explain its efficacy in treating angiography. Iopromide also has a low toxicity profile and does not show any adverse effects on the liver.
