Isomucronulatol 7-O-glucoside is an extract from Astragalus membranaceus that has been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties. It is a pro-inflammatory cytokine inhibitor and its effects are related to the inhibition of the production of pro-inflammatory cytokines, such as IL-6, IL-8, and TNFα. Isomucronulatol 7-O-glucoside also inhibits lipid levels in blood vessels, which may be due to its ability to inhibit reactive oxygen species (ROS). Isomucronulatol 7-O-glucoside has antioxidative properties and can be used for the treatment of atherosclerosis.
