Descripción

Indolizine is a coumarin derivative that has been shown to be an active component of an electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) sensor. The reaction mechanism of indolizine is not well understood, but it is thought to have a high barrier for the oxidation process. This makes indolizine a good candidate for use in Langmuir adsorption isotherms because it can be absorbed on the surface of α7 nicotinic acetylcholine receptors and coumarin derivatives. Indolizine has been shown to have anti-inflammatory effects in animal models and may be used to treat autoimmune diseases such as lupus erythematosus. Indolizine may also act as a chiral ligand for copper chloride and potassium dichromate, which are used in chemical synthesis and electroplating respectively.
