IMD 0354 is a novel inhibitor of the enzyme kinase that was isolated from natural compounds. IMD 0354 has been shown to inhibit the nuclear factor κB (NF-κB) and toll-like receptor signaling pathways, which are involved in immune system activation. IMD 0354 also inhibits the growth of cancer cells by suppressing the activity of cyclin D2, a protein that regulates cell cycle progression. This compound may be useful as an anticancer drug because it also inhibits polymerase chain reaction (PCR), a process necessary for tumor cell growth.
