Descripción:GLPG2938 is a small molecule inhibitor of the extracellular, membrane-bound form of the human insulin receptor. It binds to the insulin receptor, preventing ligands from binding and activating this protein. GLPG2938 has been shown to inhibit the growth of cells in culture and disrupts cancer cell proliferation. GLPG2938 can also be used as a research tool to study proteins that interact with the insulin receptor. GLPG2938 has shown no toxicity in cell cultures or in mice at doses up to 5 mg/kg.
