Descripción:Lysine is an essential amino acid, which means that it cannot be synthesized by the body and must be obtained from food. It is a crucial component of many proteins, including enzymes and hormones. Lysine is also involved in calcium absorption, maintaining nitrogen balance, and the production of carnitine. Lysine hydrobromide is a salt form of lysine that can be used to inhibit protein synthesis in bacteria. This inhibition can take place at either the transcriptional or translational level, but not both simultaneously. The inhibition of protein synthesis prevents the cell from growing and reproducing. Lysine hydrobromide has been shown to have a regulatory effect on enzyme activities in corynebacterium glutamicum (a type of bacteria). It also acts as a substrate for uptake by corynebacterium glutamicum cells due to its high lysine content.
