Descripción

Lavender oil is a natural product obtained from the plant Lavandula angustifolia. It has been used for centuries as a medicine and household remedy because of its antimicrobial properties. The nanosized, granular form of lavender oil was developed to improve its solubility and allow it to be dispersed in water. The polymeric matrix of this form provides an increase in stability, which is advantageous for long-term storage. This drug is effective against a wide range of bacteria, including Stenotrophomonas maltophilia, which is resistant to many other antibiotics. The antibacterial efficacy can be improved by the addition of effervescent tablets or fatty acids.
