Descripción

Lodoxamide is a non-steroidal anti-inflammatory drug that belongs to the group of H1 antagonists. It is used as an ophthalmic agent for the treatment of allergic conjunctivitis, allergic rhinoconjunctivitis, and keratoconjunctivitis sicca. Lodoxamide inhibits the synthesis of eosinophil cationic protein and reduces disease activity in experimental models. Lodoxamide has also been shown to inhibit adenosine A3 receptor at a concentration that does not produce any significant side effects on liver function or serum cholesterol levels.
