L-Kynurenine sulfate salt also inhibits the production of gamma-aminobutyric acid (GABA) by blocking the activity of GABA transaminase, thereby increasing GABA levels. It has also been shown to have anti-inflammatory properties as well as anticancer effects. L-Kynurenine sulfate salt is used to treat bladder cancer, cervical cancer, and brain infarctions.
