Longistyline A is an analog of the natural compound longistyline. Longistyline A has shown inhibitory properties against atherosclerotic cardiovascular disease and cancer. It also has neuroprotective effects, which may be due to its ability to protect cells from glutamate-induced excitotoxicity. Longistyline A can be used as a dietary supplement or eluting agent in order to prevent or treat metabolic disorders such as diabetes and obesity. This drug can also be used as a dietary supplement for people with symptoms of Alzheimer's Disease.
