Liriope muscari baily saponins C also inhibits the production of marker proteins such as Ki-67, which is a protein that is expressed in a high percentage of cancer cells. The mechanism of action for this drug is unclear, but it may be due to its ability to induce autophagy. This drug has also been shown to be effective against other types of cancer cells, including breast cancer and colon cancer.
