Ro 64-6198 is a specific agonist for orphanin receptors. It has been shown to have antinociceptive and cholinergic effects in animal experiments, as well as to increase brain activity. Ro 64-6198 activates the orphanin receptor and has been shown to be effective in a pain model. This drug binds to the orphanin receptor and increases its binding affinity by 10-fold, which is sufficient to activate the receptor. The effective dose of Ro 64-6198 has not yet been determined, but it is likely that it will be less than 1 mg/kg.
