1-Methyl-1H-pyrazole-3,5-dicarboxylic acid is an electrolytic process that can be used to produce pyrazoles. This process involves the bromination of 1,3,5-trimethylpyrazole and subsequent reaction with a substituted phenylacetic acid derivative in aqueous solution. The substituents on the phenylacetic acid derivative are then removed by hydrolysis to give the desired pyrazole product. This process has been shown to have a significant effect on the yield and purity of pyrazoles as compared to other methods.
