Descripción:(1-Methylpiperidin-2-yl)methanol is a gaseous organic acid that belongs to the piperazine class of compounds. It is used as an intermediate in the synthesis of various pharmaceuticals, including antipsychotics and antidepressants. (1-Methylpiperidin-2-yl)methanol has been shown to be an agonist of ganglion cells and can be used for the treatment of glaucoma. This compound also has shown to have anti-inflammatory properties, which may be due to its ability to inhibit nitric oxide production. Furthermore, (1-methylpiperidin-2-yl)methanol has been shown to inhibit 13c nuclear magnetic resonance spectroscopy with epoxides and hydroxyl groups.
