3-Morpholin-4-yl-propionic acid hydrochloride (3MPPAH) is a heterocyclic compound that belongs to the morpholine family. It has two orientations, axial and equatorial, in which the chloride ion is axial or equatorial. The axial orientation can be stabilized by hydrogen bonds with other 3MPPAH molecules and chloride ions. This compound has been used as a component of biologically active compounds for its axial orientation and its ability to form hydrogen bonds with other 3MPPAH molecules and chloride ions.
