3-(Methoxymethyl)phenyl]amine sulfate is a potent compound that inhibits the activity of the enzyme escherichia coli vacuolar ATPase. It is used to treat escherichia coli infections, such as urinary tract infections and appendicitis. 3-[(Methoxymethyl)phenyl]amine sulfate has been shown to be effective in treating trypanosoma and trypanosomiasis, which are parasitic diseases caused by protozoan parasites. The drug binds to the active site of the enzyme, blocking its ability to bind with ATP and causing death of the parasite. 3-[(Methoxymethyl)phenyl]amine sulfate is also an active compound against humans, inhibiting bone resorption by binding to bisphosphonates.
