Información del producto
- Imidazo[1,2-A]Pyridine, 2-Methyl-
2-Methylimidazo[1,2-a]pyridine is an aromatic compound that contains a heterocyclic ring with a nitrogen atom in the 1 position. It has been used to produce phosphine gas, which is a trackable chemical agent. Phosphine gas is produced by the reaction of 2-methylimidazo[1,2-a]pyridine and sodium hydroxide or potassium hydroxide. The reaction produces a solution of sodium hypophosphite and ammonium chloride. This solution can be heated to produce phosphine gas, which has been used as a fumigant for grain storage facilities. Phosphine gas has also been used as an alkylating agent for the production of nitro compounds, such as 3-nitrobenzaldehyde and 2-nitrophenol.
