1-Methylpyrrolidin-3-one is an amine that has been shown to have both a chloride and an electrochemical impedance spectroscopy. The synthesis of 1-methylpyrrolidin-3-one can be achieved by reacting butyllithium with the lithium salt of an organic acid. The product can be purified using a particle size test and crystallized at temperatures below 30°C. The activation energy for this process is approximately 40 kJ/mol. The crystalline structure has been found to be monoclinic, with elongata as the principle component in the cell.
