Descripción:Methyl 4-amino-3-(methylamino)benzoate is an inhibitor of the enzyme hydroxymethylpyrimidine kinase. It has shown inhibitory activity against a number of other enzymes, including serine proteases and phospholipases. This compound also has been used to optimize the synthesis of pyrrolopyrimidine derivatives with hydrophobic amino moieties that are amenable to peptide coupling. Methyl 4-amino-3-(methylamino)benzoate may be an important tool in understanding the mechanism of action of these compounds and may help in the design of more potent inhibitors.
