The epoxy resin reacts with fatty acids to form polymeric matrices which can be used as binders for magnetic resonance imaging contrast agents. 4,4'-Methylenebis(N,N-diglycidylaniline) reacts with amines to form reactive products that are used in the production of polyurethanes.
