Descripción

Metazosulfuron is a plantaginea herbicide with a fatty acid analytical method. It is an agrochemical that is used in the control of weeds and grasses. Metazosulfuron inhibits lipid biosynthesis and has been shown to be toxic to mammals, including humans. The synergistic effect of metazosulfuron with other herbicides has been studied using chromatographic methods and mass spectrometry. This synergistic interaction was found to be due to the hydroxyl group on metazosulfuron, which causes it to bind with the fatty acids in plant cell membranes, leading to increased membrane permeability.
