Descripción:
4-Methyl-2-pyrrolecarboxylic acid ethylester is a synthetic compound that is structurally related to glucagon, but does not have the same biological activity. It has been shown to act as an agonist for the glucagon receptor and has been used as a tool to study the regulation of this receptor. 4-Methyl-2-pyrrolecarboxylic acid ethylester has also been shown to be an antagonist for the somatostatin receptor and can be used as a tool to study this receptor.
