Descripción:
1-Methyl-3-hydroxy-2(1H)-pyridinone is an amide that binds to the iron in the matrix metalloproteinase (MMP) enzyme. It is a potent MMP inhibitor and can be used for the treatment of tumours. It has been shown to inhibit the activity of MMPs and block the production of pro-inflammatory chemokines, which are important for the migration of immune cells into a tumour.
