Descripción:Molybdenum trioxide is a molybdenum compound that has been shown to be an effective antimicrobial agent. Molybdenum trioxide is used in wastewater treatment because it is electrochemically inert and can be used over a wide range of pH values. The mechanism of action for this compound is not well understood, but it is thought to involve the oxidation of sulfides or organic matter.
