Mc-Val-Cit-PABC-PNP is a modified form of epidermal growth factor (EGF) that is conjugated to the cytotoxic agent, Cetuximab. EGF can act as a growth factor for tumor cells, which makes it an attractive target for cancer therapy. The conjugation of the cytotoxic agent to EGF can lead to potent cytotoxicity against tumor cells. In addition, cetuximab may also bind to the receptor on the surface of cancer cells and inhibit their growth. This product has shown potential in treatment of cancers such as colorectal cancer and head and neck cancers.
