1-Methyl-1-cyclohexene is a methyl tetrahydro, with biological properties. It is synthesized by the reaction of hydrogen and carbon monoxide in a nonpolar solvent. The particle size can be controlled by changing the reaction conditions. 1-Methyl-1-cyclohexene reacts with hydrogen fluoride to form cyclohexene and hydrogen gas. This chemical also has a high reactivity towards fatty acids, which is due to its electron withdrawing ability as well as its unsaturated structure.
