Descripción:Methyl 2-ethylhexanoate is a chemical compound that belongs to the group of esters. It is used as an extraction solvent for the analysis of volatile compounds in various matrices, such as air, water and soil. Methyl 2-ethylhexanoate has been shown to be effective against Pseudomonas aeruginosa, Enterobacter cloacae and Escherichia coli. Methyl 2-ethylhexanoate has synergistic effects with copper complex and tri-n-octylphosphine oxide, which are potent antimicrobials. This product can also be used as a reagent in gravimetric analysis and Fourier transform infrared (FTIR) spectroscopy.
