Methyldiallylamine is a chemical compound that can be used as a cross-linking agent. Methyldiallylamine is a clear, colorless liquid with an odor similar to acetic acid. It has a pH of 2.8. This chemical has been shown to react with hypochlorous and chloride ions in the environment, leading to the formation of chloramines, which are more stable than hypochlorous acid. Methyldiallylamine can also be used in skin care products such as creams and lotions for its ability to form cross-links between lipids and proteins.
