Descripción:4-Methoxybutan-1-ol is an organic acid that belongs to the group of glycol ethers. It is a colorless liquid with low viscosity and is soluble in water. 4-Methoxybutan-1-ol reacts with copper metal or copper compounds to form a complex, which can be used as a catalyst for various chemical reactions. The reaction between 4-methoxybutan-1-ol and chlorine atoms leads to formation of a molecule containing a chlorine atom (Cl) and an organic solvent (ROH). 4-Methoxybutan-1-ol has been shown to have surfactant properties, which may be due to its ability to break up the surface tension of liquids and create cavities in the liquid. As a result, it is used as an ingredient in many detergents, cosmetics, perfumes, pharmaceuticals, and other products.
