Meconin is a drug that is used to treat allergic symptoms. It belongs to the class of drugs called antihistamines and blocks the action of histamine, which is involved in allergic reactions. Meconin has been shown to have a low level of toxicity, with no evidence of liver injury or other serious side effects. Meconin also has a chemical structure that includes a hydroxyl group and carbonyl group, and can be broken down by light exposure or hydrochloric acid in the body.
