Descripción

7-Methoxy-4-methylcoumarin (7MM) is a coumarin derivative that is used in the analytical process of determining the prognosis, diagnosis, and treatment of a variety of autoimmune diseases. The optical sensor can be activated by ultraviolet light to produce a fluorescent product that is proportional to the amount of 7MM present in the sample. This method has been shown to be more sensitive than other methods for detecting vancomycin therapy and its effectiveness on patients with severe infections. 7MM binds to the enzyme p450, which regulates epoxidase activity and autoimmunity. It also inhibits magnesium salt and ryanodine receptor activity, which are important factors in calcium homeostasis.
