Descripción

3-(2-Methoxy-5-methylphenyl)-3-phenyl-propanoic acid is a synthetic compound that has been shown to be effective in the treatment of pulmonary hypertension. The activity of this drug is thought to be due to its ability to inhibit the accumulation of chloride ions, which are responsible for the development of pulmonary hypertension. 3-(2-Methoxy-5-methylphenyl)-3-phenyl-propanoic acid has also been shown to decrease systolic pressure and hypertrophy in rats, as well as increase high yield and improve parameters related to metabolic dysfunction. This drug may also have immunoreactive properties, which would make it an ideal candidate for the treatment of diseases involving immunological dysfunction.
