2-[(2-Methoxyphenoxy)methyl]oxirane is an organic compound that is used in the synthesis of other compounds and in the industrial process. It is also used as a reactant in some catalytic processes, for example, hydroxylation. 2-[(2-Methoxyphenoxy)methyl]oxirane has a hydroxyl group at the end of its structure, which makes it an organic solvent. This compound can be synthesized from chloropropane and sodium hydroxide solution. The viscosity of this compound is low and it has a developable surface.
